Smart New Village Signs Installed

13 February 2022

Four new signs have been installed on our lanes thanks to money from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). We hope you feel they are an improvement on the rusty old ones. They show the way to St Mary's Church, the Playing Field and the Village Hall.

Fancy a Chat?

Thanks to East Suffolk Council Community Partnership, we have two new Chat Benches on the Playing Field. They have been positioned along the new woodland walkway in the top two corners of the field.

Come and work out in our new Outdoor Gym

10 February 2022

With the help of an East Suffolk Council Boost Scheme Grant, the Parish Council have provided 4 pieces of outdoor gym equipment for use by villagers and their guests. This is for over 14s only and is not play equipment. Please read the notice before use.

What a load of rubbish!

Ex Bucklesham School pupil, James Lobley, has been spending hours each weekend for months litter picking our lanes and paths for his bronze Duke of Edinburgh. Thank you SO MUCH James, the whole village salutes you!

We knit you a Merry Christmas!

23 December 2020

Bucklesham's Knitters have created a 7ft Christmas tree which stands proudly in the font in St Mary's Church. There are 271 knitted or crocheted squares complete with decorations, all knitted of course!  Well done to Wendy Hubbard and the team.  It truly is a magnificent sight.
