The Parish Council Chair, Clive Lenton, has published the Parish Council's Annual Report and you can find out what the Councillors have been getting up to all year - and it's quite a lot!
At the Bucklesham Village Hall Annual General Meeting on 8th April 2026, the Village Hall Committee agreed that Bucklesham Parish Council would become Sole Trustees of the Hall. Working as a sub-committee of the Parish Council, the Committee will continue to manage the Hall on a day to day basis, with the Parish Council taking overall responsibility and liability.
Bucklesham Parish Council cannot solve the Cost of Living Crisis or many other of today’s problems like loneliness and isolation, but we do try to make the lives of our residents better in little ways – and we hope those little ways make a bigger difference to some of you. With that in mind, working in conjunction with the Community Council, we are planning on hosting community gatherings in the Village Hall on Saturday mornings once in a while. We have finally achieved our aim of getting a 20's Plenty School Safety Zone on Main Road as traffic approaches Bucklesham School. Let's hope it has the desired effect and it makes the road safer for our children as they travel to school.
Huge thanks to the strong Dads who turned out on a Sunday morning in March to help us remove all the old equipment. The new equipment will be arriving on the week of 7th April so not long to wait now...
Roadworks outside number 38 Levington Lane mean the road is scheduled to be closed for 3 days from the 16th to the 19th February, however the diversion route is currently impassable due to flooding.

Following a public consultation on 11th February, the Parish Council will become Sole Trustee of Bucklesham Village Hall at the Village Hall AGM on 8th April 2026.
