Bucklesham's Annual Scarecrow Festival was a huge success again this year, despite thieves stealing the winning family's original Scarecrow.
The Garlick Family, last year's winners, were determined to defend their title in 2026. They spent all week making a Pokémon Scarecrow and put him on display in their front garden on Friday evening, only to wake up on Saturday morning and discover he had been stolen!
Undeterred, the quick thinking Garlick family then made a second Scarecrow, in the form of a Police Officer, and set the scene of an investigation of the crime.
There were some very imaginative creations again this year; one Scarecrow was cleaning windows, one was squished under a giant pumpkin, one had fallen off a roof after too many beers, and one was performing Pilates! All residents were invited to vote on the best Scarecrow, and the Garlick Family won by a landslide.
