Bucklesham is a small rural parish sitting in the Suffolk countryside surrounded by farmland. We are 7 miles from Ipswich, 7 miles from Woodbridge and 7 miles from Felixstowe. Our neighbours are the villages of Brightwell, Newbourne, Hemley, Kirton, Stratton Hall, Levington, Nacton and Foxhall.
Here in Bucklesham we have many fantastic amenities. There is a beautiful Village Hall, the fantastic Bucklesham County Primary School and the picturesque St Mary’s Church. Shell Cottage, near St Mary's Church, used to be the old school and the names of some of the children can still be found scratched on the walls.
In the heart of the village is the Playing Field. The field is for the benefit of the inhabitants of Bucklesham and their guests, and we ask all who use the field to take their litter home with them and treat our facilities with respect.
If you need any information about the defibrillator in a non emergency please contact the Parish Council Clerk at clerk@buckleshamparishcouncil.gov.uk
