Bucklesham Village Hall

Hall frontBucklesham Village Hall was built in 1976 and has been a thriving community hub ever since.  It is a large, light, airy space that is perfect for parties, dances, wakes, meetings, weddings and exhibitions; In fact all social and professional functions.

The facilities

The hall measures 14m x 10m.  It is fully heated & double glazed and we have modern lightweight easily foldable tables & seating for up to 150 people. The sprung floor is fantastic for dances.

The kitchen is equipped with excellent facilities including a large double oven and microwave.  We have an array of catering equipment for the kitchen such as glasses, cutlery sets, tablecloths, meat dishes etc. We are fundraising hard and saving for a new fitted kitchen to update this area.

There are Audio Visual & presentation facilities available with projector & 3-meter electronic screen.  At the far end of the hall is a permanent stage with two dressing rooms and toilet.  There is a hearing loop system available. We have modern toilets with baby changing facilities and full disabled access toilets.  There is a comfortable committee room for small meetings.  The car park has 20 spaces and there is a disabled access ramp at the side entrance.

The Committee

interiorThe hall is Held In Trust by Bucklesham Parish Council who are the Sole Trustee. It is managed on a day-to-day basis by a great team of hard working villagers who are the Village Hall Committee.

The Hall is booked every day and evening of the week with numerous clubs and societies. We can also cater for one-off meetings, conferences, wakes and gatherings - please ask the Hall Clerk for availability. Most weekends are booked for children's birthday parties so booking early is essential.

We have an ongoing maintenance  programme to ensure the Hall remains a modern facility for all to use.

We are indebted to the Bucklesham Parish Council, the Archer Cartwright Bucklesham Charity, and Bucklesham Community Council for their regular grants helping us with the cost of keeping the Hall running and an affordable venue for residents.

We often hold fundraising events which are very popular and help us to keep the Hall up to modern standards, without increasing the cost of hire to villagers and guests.
