Occasionally we are notified by Highways of a planned Road Closure. We do our best to keep you all informed by sending a Bugle Bulletin.
Road closures are sometimes essential for the safety of road users and Highways operatives. If you are based within the closure, Highways will maintain access where possible. However, there may be times when access is delayed or restricted. Highways ask you to please plan your journeys accordingly and speak to operatives on-site if you require further information.

Works were not carried out as advised. What is happening?
Sometimes Highways are unable to complete works as planned. This could be due to vehicles parked on the road, or because of a variety of other reasons often beyond their control.
If they need to make major changes to their works dates, they will update the information signs on site. The Parish Council will also hopefully receive another letter advising of the new date in advance.

PLEASE RESPECT HIGHWAYS WORKERS Please help keep Highways workers safe by driving carefully and slowly through the roadworks. Feedback from Highways workers shows that too many drivers go too fast through roadworks. Everybody is entitled to a safe workplace. Highways operatives work next to moving traffic and risk injury every day. Please remain polite and respectful to Highways workers whilst they are in Bucklesham. There is no excuse for abuse. |
