Community Infrastructure Levy

The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a planning charge that the local Planning Authority (East Suffolk Council) impose on new developments.  It is given to Parish Councils to spend in their area. Bucklesham is awarded CIL money following any new development in the village.

There are strict guidelines on how the money can only be spent, for example on specific things such as Open Spaces, Infrastructure and Community Facilities.

At Parish council meetings decisions are made on how to spend Bucklesham’s CIL money. If you would like to hear how these decisions are made, please do come along to the next Parish Council meeting.

If you would like to help make decisions on how future money should be spent, or on any other Parish Council business, why not consider becoming a Councillor yourself?
