Proposed Solar Farm - January 2023

The Parish Council has been contacted by East Suffolk Council (the Local Planning Authority) with regards to the following Planning Application:

DC/22/4401/FUL – ‘Installation and operation of a Solar Farm together with all associated works, equipment and necessary infrastructure’ on Land East Of Bucklesham Village And The A1093 , Bucklesham Hall Drive, Bucklesham, Suffolk.

The Parish Council will be holding a meeting to gather comments and opinions from residents of Bucklesham about this planning application on 

Tuesday 24^th January 2023 at 7:00pm

 in the Bucklesham Village Hall.

We are very keen to hear residents’ views on the proposed Solar Farm, whether you are in support of the application or opposed to it. If you are unable to attend but wish to make a comment, please contact the Parish Council by simply replying to this message. Your comments will be read out during the Parish Council meeting.

Following the meeting on 24^th January, we will then hold a Parish Council Meeting on 

Tuesday 31^st January 2023 at 7:00pm 

in the Bucklesham Village Hall, in order for the Council to discuss the public comments and to decide upon a response, based on material planning considerations.

It is important to remember that the Parish Council is merely one consultee and not the Planning Authority. We would strongly encourage any of you who wish to make your opinions known to East Suffolk Planning department to contact them directly at planning@eastsuffolk.gov.uk clearly stating on your letter if you are in support of or opposed to the application, and including the Application Number (DC/22/4401/FUL) in the subject line of your email. All emails to East Suffolk Council must be in by 1^st February 2023.
